What is TEDxUniTn?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUniTn, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxUniTn events, TEDTalks videos and live speakers are combined to spark deep discussion and connection in a small groups.

We brought TEDx to Trento to show our community and the world that we've been dot connectors, entrepreneurs and innovators for years. We just want to be a little more vocal about it. We want to show that Trento citizens are working here and beyond, changing the world in their own ways – in science, technology, entertainment, design and more. We believe TEDxUniTn can become a local forum for great minds to share the ideas that count, inspire people to change their lives, their future and eventually the world.

The world needs big ideas. The world needs great vision and inspiration powered by creators, academics, entrepreneurs and change agents with the ability to speak out loud, to execute and determination to prove it. It's about being the first one, to lead others into unfamiliar territory, to transform unproven ideas into something real. It's about challenging the status quo and questioning the usual definitions of success. At TEDxUniTn 2013, you will be challenged to go beyond ideas, fight constraints, create momentum and inspire followers. It's time to change our futures, our lives and ultimately the world.
